Two New History Titles from Teaching for Thinking Win Prestigious All Star Awards
Vancouver, BC (Nov 1, 2004) – Teaching for Thinking, Inc., recently received All Star Awards for its new software The Middle Ages: The Building of Nations and The Renaissance: Winds of Change from Children’s Software Revue magazine.
"These new products combine two effective teaching tools – new digital technology and the age-old form of storytelling – to create sophisticated and inspiring learning resources" said Warren Buckleitner, Ph.D., Editor of Children’s Software Revue. "Teachers will appreciate the quality of the content, combined with the flexibility of the design."
“It is very rewarding to have both our new products recognized by such a prestigious, experienced review magazine,” said Mary Connolly, Teaching for Thinking’s CEO. “Our suite of social studies, history products have been well received in the market and we are honoured to be chosen for the All Star Awards.”
The reviews praise the products: The Middle Ages: Building of Nations: “This CD deals with the thousand year period known as the middle ages... is narrated in first person by Confucius, creating a very interesting presentation... an excellent resource for middle or high school history units.” The Renaissance: Winds of Change: “The content is top quality, and the table of contents makes it easy to jump to any topic... All in all, this is an excellent teacher resource, either for whole group demonstration or small group research.” CSR, Fall 2004.
